Asheville Climate Justice Rally
Friday September 20th. 5:30-7:30pm

In response to Greta Thunberg’s call for another global climate strike, our Chapter will be
organizing a rally in downtown Asheville on September 20th. We will be at the Vance
Monument and the plaza area behind it. At 5:30pm, come visit info tables to learn about
community work and organizations, register to vote, and listen to live music. At 6:30pm, we’ll
have a lineup of local speakers.
We The People March

We the People are marching to be seen and heard. We are marching to remind our elected
officials that they work for us. We are marching because the current regime is a threat to our
democracy and values. We are marching to demand accountability. Silence and inaction are
complicity.
Please bring a SIGN and plan to JOIN US as WE MARCH in Asheville. Music: 5:30 pm,
Assembly 6:00 pm; MARCH by 6:30
The march route is approximately 3/4 mile and is a round-trip path through downtown. We will
be using the sidewalks as the streets will not be closed.
